Rhododendrons (both Lepidote and Elepidote types), Azaleas, and Kalmias are well represented in the plantings providing a long season of interest. The collections include many old cultivars of R. Catawbiense, R. maximum, Azaleas species. Many plants were gifts from Elinor Clark of Ashfield, Massachusetts, grower George Eisenbeis of Hancock, New Hampshire, and purchases or gifts from Ed Mezzitt of Weston Nurseries fame.
